The Mykonos Grand is a unique resort on the beautiful island of Mykonos in Greece, barely three miles from Mykonos Town, on one of the island’s most famous beaches Ayios Yiannis known for the glorious sunsets as seen on the movie Shirley Valentine that was filmed here.  The resort’s Cycladic architecture of cube shaped whitewashed buildings linked by pathways and terraces is combined with classic interior ambience.

ROOMS AND ACCOMMODATION:

The hotel offers 107 bedrooms and suites including Superior sea view rooms and luxurious Suites with private pools. All rooms & suites were renovated during 2007. The refurbishment has enhanced the sense of comfort and sensuality in keeping with the move away from minimalist constraint but the design is still very much at one with the classic forms and simple palette of the Island’s distinctive architecture. Reflecting this, sheer white drapes now grace the rooms & suites creating a flowing canopy above each bed. The impression is now more romantic, feminine version of this discreet island “home” Spacious suites offer unobstructed views of the sea, degrees of open bathrooms and include private swimming pools and a traditional Greek barbecue on the terrace.

Garden View Rooms:
Located on the ground floor, all rooms are tastefully modern in style with a rich sense of blue or orange color, have spacious mosaic  bathrooms and terraces with view over the garden. Choice of twin or Queen size bed
 
Sea View Rooms:
Spacious rooms with sea views and Aegean inspired ambiance, all made with the finest quality of Greek Marble and the typical Mykonian arch defining the bedroom from the sitting area. Choice of twin or Queen size bed

Superior Rooms:
The Superior Rooms offer breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea from each balcony, while the lavish and open plan "SPA Bathrooms" come fully equipped with an egg shaped deep soaking tub, separate walk-in rain shower and a relaxing steam cabin.  These bathrooms are also blessed with panoramic ocean views reaching as far as the sacred island of Delos. Additional touches to these ultra modern rooms include an electronic “Do Not Disturb” sign, 32 inch flat screen TV’s, DVD players (hotel offers an extensive DVD library) and the ever useful Ipod dock.

Suite:
Sumptuous suites consisting of the bedroom and a separate living room, with balconies and a sea view over the bay of Ayios Yiannis. Each suite is an oasis of luxurious idleness embodying the island’s stylish taste with cool Dionysos marble floors, woven bamboo couches, honey color furniture and a soothing palette of orange set against cool white walls.

 Executive Suite:
Honey colored furnishings and linen fabrics provide a unique relaxing atmosphere. Located on the top floor, this suite offers magnificent panoramic sea view from the private terrace with sunchairs and a daybed under a traditional pergola. A separate living room with its own entrance can easily accommodate 2 more people.
State of-the-art amenities include DVD player, stereo system, 2 flat screen TV sets and 2 luxurious bathrooms one of which has a Steam cabin, a separate WC and a large Jacuzzi. The Executive Suite provides 90 sqm of indoor space. The retreat for a Honeymoon.

 Suites with private pool:
Embodying the architectural heritage of Mykonos, our 75-sqm suites offer rich amenities in a spacious yet intimate setting. Closest to the sea, these lavish suites offer unparalleled views, serenity, 2 luxurious bathrooms one of which has a Steam cabin, a separate WC and a  Jacuzzi bathtub, plus 27’ TV Set with DVD player, a barbeque set-up and a private swimming pool. Upon request, a chef can barbeque an exclusive meal at the suite.
Relaxation comes naturally in sitting areas, verandas set with wooden furniture. All exterior space totals to 65 sqm.
 
 Deluxe Suite with Private Pool: Overlooks the Aegean Sea and the island of Delos, the suite is decorated with selected elegant furnishing and artwork.
Perched above the golden sand beach, this luxurious suite is perfect for outdoor living: a shaded dining patio with direct access to the private pool, features lounge chairs, umbrellas and a barbecue setup. A Private Chef can be hired to prepare meals.
It also offers two en-suite bathrooms, one of which has a Treadmill, Steam cabin, a separate WC, a large built-in Jacuzzi for 2 and spacious walk-in closets.
State of-the-art amenities include DVD player, stereo system, and three 32 flat screen TV Sets. The Suite provides a total 100 sq.m. of indoor and 85 sqm of outdoor space.

RESTAURANTS:

At the Dolphins of Delos Restaurant, our culinary team sources all herbs from our garden and ingredients throughout Greece. The wine list featuring everything from the islands to traditional wine regions of the mainland. Aqua e Sole Restaurant is offering a great poolside location and serves light meals and beverages, which include fine island salads and light lunches featuring fresh seafood, as well as an abundance of grilled specialties.

ALTHEA SPA CENTER

The Althea Spa Center is located opposite to the sacred island of Delos, one of the sunniest areas in the world. Due to the increased sunshine, it is a place of high concentration of cosmic energy and according to Greek Mythology god Apollo was born there. It has been created as a purely sensory experience, using all-natural treatments brought together from the ancient health and beauty traditions of Greece. Treatments are authentic with therapeutic value designed to soothe, pamper, de-stress and re-invigorate. POOL & BEACH

The large 500 sqm sea water pool features private conversation areas interspersed through the expansive deck.The chaises longues grouped on the pool's deck are ideal for sunbathing, afternoon siestas, or for watching the magnificent sunsets over the Aegean - pool desks have been designed to offer expansive sea views and are facing west. The 7 cabanas on the background with sheer white drapes offer privacy and shade. Pool attendants cater to guests' needs with towels and cooling amenities. The outdoor hot tub is located a level below the pool area, to offer the perfect setting for rare moments of romance and tranquility. Feel the warm sand on your toes, sunbathe and swim at the hotel¢s beach also known as the Shirley Valentine beach, named after the English movie.
