Aegina, so close and yet so far away, thirty minutes by hydrofoil or sixty minutes by ferryboat from Athens (Piraeus), hundreds of kilometers, however, away from every day life. At the northern part of the island, only two Kilometers to the east of the small harbor of Souvala, you will find the contemporary newly - built (in 1999) family hotel "IRIDES". 

:: Rooms
Built with great assiduity in the traditional Aegina style, thirty meters from the sea at the foot of a green mountain, brimming with pine trees. All the apartments provide A/C (heating - cooling), kitchen, satellite TV, direct dial phone, support for Internet, safe box, hair dryer, fridge, coffee machine, daily cleaning service, spacious balconies (with view to the sea), selected natural quality furniture. 

In its beautifully arranged and hospitable surrounding area, there is a breakfast room, a pool with a bar and a comfortable parking area. At a short distance, of about 150 meters, a private tavern operates, offering traditional Greek cuisine, a big supermarket and about 100 meters away you can find a bus stop. Handicapped facilities are also available. We also offer a new beach volley court and beach water polo. 

Beautiful and picturesque with natural beauty and a wholesome arid climate, Aegina reflects an accumulated historical energy of 5.000 years (first capital of modern Greece -1828-). Using Aegina as a  base, the visitor has the ability for daily excursions to Athens (Acropolis), Sounio (the Temple of Posidon), the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, Mycene, Hydra, etc.
