Location

Archontiko Mytilinis started it's construction in 1924 by the architect Mr. George Fouskas. 
All the material that used for the construction came from Smyrni, Agira and Constantinople. The wood is from the Black Sea.

Archontiko Mytilinis started to work as a first class hotel in March 2007 and is open during the whole year.

Archontiko Mytilinis has twelve luxurious rooms at his three floors with view at the city, the garden and the sea. The two attics at the top floor with sea view will enthuse you.

Inside the hotel the atmosphere of an old mansion is preserved, enhanced by the old curved furniture and the antiques, will give you a nostalgic sense of an old magic era.

Rooms and Accommodation

Our hotel has 7 standard double rooms, 3 superior and 2 attics at the ground floor, the first and the second floor.

The oblique stairs lead to the attics of the second floor. The first attic has one bedroom with stone walls, windows at the sky and astonishing sea view. Has the ability to hostile up to 4 people.

The second attic has 2 bedrooms and separate sitting room with windows at the sky and view at the city of Mytilene. Has the ability to hostile up to 6 people.

The city of Mytilene

The town of Mytilini was first founded on the small island where the Enetic castle was later constructed. Herodotus dates the foundation of the town, in his work " Homer's Life", 130 years after the conquest of Troy, that is to say around 1053 a. C., if the conquest of Troy took place in 1183, as historians say.

Mytilini reached her highest development around the 7th-6th century with the philosopher Pittakos and the poets Alkeos and Sapho.Mytilini got her name by one of Makaros' daughters, the island' s first colonist. The Municipality of Mytilene consists of the villages Agia Marina, Taxiarhes, Loutra, Panagiouda, Moria, Alyfanta, Afalonas, Pamphila and the city of Mytilene. It is about 188 miles from Piraeus and it has about 25000 inhabitants.

In the centre of Mytilene we will find the Ministry of the Aegean Sea, the Regional Administration of the North Aegean Sea and the Central Administration of the University of the Aegean Sea.

There are many museums and sights that a visitor can visit and admire, buildings, monuments, towers. You must also visit the castle, at the area of Epano Skala.
