Casa Lusia Hotel Corfu Island

Location:

Casa Lucia is a relaxed and friendly place in the middle of Corfu island, half-way between the main town and Palaiocastritsa. A group of old olive press buildings, some dating from Venetian times, were lovingly restored.

The village of Sgombou lies in a peaceful valley surrounded by hills, far from other tourist sites, but right in the centre of the island; a short walk brings you to the local shop and bus-stop; from here it is 3 kilometres to the nearest beach, 12 kilometres either to Corfu town on the east coast, or to Paleocastritsa on the west coast.

About the cottages:

Special care has been taken in equipping each cottage to a high degree of comfort and convenience. Equal attention is paid to cleanliness with daily maid service; and to maintaining the property in good working order. Each cottage has its own outdoor area with chairs, table and umbrella.

Stone Cottage:
Lower floor of 2-storeyed building, double-bedded room with bathroom, large kitchen/dining area, living room with 2 divan beds, room for 3rd, two terraces, large garden. 4-5 people. 44 sq.m

White Cottage:
Secluded upper floor; open-plan double-bedded room, living/dining/kitchen area with 2 divan beds, bathroom, balcony. 2-4 people. 32 sq.m.

Red Cottage:
Double-bedded room, bathroom, living room with 2 divan beds, dining area, kitchen, 2 patios, garden. 2-4 people 35 sq.m.

Yellow Cottage:
Mezzanine bedroom with twin beds, open plan ground floor with double bed in curtained alcove, living area with sofa bed, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, patio and garden. 4-5 people. 52 sq.m.

Primrose Cottage:Mezzanine double-bedded room, living room below with sofa bed, kitchenette and dining area, bathroom, veranda. 2-3 people. 35 sq.m.

Gardener's Cottage:Double-bedded room, bathroom, living room with 2 sofa beds, dining area, kitchen, patio and garden. 2-4people. 43 sq.m.

Studios:Twin-bedded room with kitchenette and dining area, bathroom, patio and garden. 1-2people. 21 sq.m

Provisions: there is a hair dryer in each cottage, and an iron can be provided on request. Ceiling and table fans are in each room. For ecological reasons we have installed neither air conditioning nor television. A folder of information on Casa Lucia and the island of Corfu is also provided.

 

How to get to Casa Lusia Hotel Corfu Island

From the airport, turn right when joining the main road: keep going until you reach the sea, then turn left and follow the road all the way round the outskirts of Corfu town, past the old and the new forts, the old and the new ports, and then along disco strip until you reach a large junction with traffic lights.
**** Go right and continue along this road passing Kontokali and Gouvia in the direction of Paleocastritsa. After l0 km. you will come to a junction where the righthand road goes to Dassia and Kassiopi: here you keep straight on still towards Paleocastritsa. After 2km you will come to a crossroads, this is the village of Sgombou, for which there is no signpost but you will see the sign for Casa Lucia. Turn left and left again immediately, then after 50m turn right (all signed).

From the local or the international port, turn right as you come out and follow the road along disco strip until you come to the big junction and turn right to Paleocastritsa. From here follow the same instructions from ****.
