ARTA HOTEL ATHENS

Location

Hotel Arta is located in downtown Athens at Nikitara Street in a traditional building since 1960, and has been totally renovated in 2003 for the Olympic Games in 2004.

Our hotel is in the heart of Athens and more specifically at Nikitara street, only few steps from metro, electric railway, buses and trolley-buses. To the airport can go someone only in 30 minutes with metro and to the port of Piraeus in 20 minutes with electric railway. It abstains 30-40 minutes from the most beautiful beaches whereas there is a hospital 100 metre from hotel. It is located only few steps from museums and archaeological areas, theatres, cinemas, centre market, Plaka, Monastiraki, Psirri and all the cosmopolitan areas of Athens.

It is a D' category hotel and it consists of three floors

Rooms

Arta Hotel offers simple but clean accommodation at reasonable rates. All the rooms are quiet and light and offer hot water 24 hours per day. For our custom's service, on the ground-floor which is air-conditioned there is a living room with TV and breakfast room

The hotel has capacity of 56 beds and 28 rooms, completely equipped with

:: private bathroom and WC,
:: TV and telephone.

On the ground floor of hotel there is the main lounge, and the breakfast room, where you can meet your friends and have your coffee or drink together.

There are reasonable prices and our hotel's stuff, which is very pleasant, willing, helpful and friendly, make you feel comfortable every time.

Omonia Square

Hotel Arta is located just few steps from the Omonia square - you can access lot of sights on foot or use Athens public transport from Omonia sqr.

Omonia translates to Concorde which is a French word meaning agreement and is named thus to commemorate the amelioration of differences between 2 long forgotten Greek Political parties of the 19th Century. Omonia is the city of Athens 2nd most important square. This area is the center of the business sometimes described as Times Square or 14th street of the Athens.

If you walk back up Panipistimiou from Omonia you will pass the University of Athens - there is also the National Archeologic Museum in this area which ranks among the top ten museums in the world. Its impressive collection is housed in a beautiful neoclassic building near the juncture of Alexandras Avenue on Patission Avenue. There is a gift shop, and a cafe in the sculpture garden.

How to get to ARTA HOTEL ATHENS

The best way to access the hotel from airport is by metro with taking a metro or airport bus E94 to Syntagma Square and changing a line here to Omonia. The hotel is approx. 3-5 minutes from Omonia by walk. The distance from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport is approx. 30 Km

There is also possibility to take a taxi it should cost around 25 - 35 EUR - please note that there is an extra charge of 8 EUR for airport transfer fee.
