There are 160 permanently inhabited islands in Greece as well as hundreds of small and uninhabited ones. Most islands are located in Aegean Sea where they divide to seven different groups. There is also a single island group that lies in the Ionian sea.

The Sporades The Sporades consist of the Islands of Alonissos, Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros and are located north and east of Evia.
